Nuneaton East – Neil Phillips
My name is Neil Phillips and I am your Labour candidate for Nuneaton East on Warwickshire County Council. My experience covers 15 years as a Borough councillor, as Mayor, Deputy Leader of the Council and various Cabinet positions.
I have sat on the Transforming Nuneaton and Town Fund Boards, the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Board, Health and Well Being Board at County along with the North Warwickshire Health Partnership and Credit Union Board.
I believe in and aim for effective, economic and efficient public and contracted services, which will be required more than ever going forward. We have issues with Public Health, Mental Health, Social Care, Climate Change, Education, Safeguarding, Infrastructure and future business growth.
I have seen how the North of the County has been left behind, especially in Health and Infrastructure, and the blight of austerity policy on Social Care. Therefore, I ask if residents in Nuneaton East have been served well by Tory run Warwickshire? Or, if they agree with me that there should be a change of horses, a change in policies for Warwickshire, as we go into the new future.
I offer myself, my experience and my values of working with and for residents, values which have served the community well for over 15 years, as I stand for election in Nuneaton East on May 6th. I hope you will support those aims also.”
