NUNEATON & BEDWORTH LABOUR’S MAY 2022 COUNCIL ELECTION PLEDGES:

PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY CENTRES – We will continue to support Stockingford and Keresley Community Centres and reject the Conservative plan to abandon these vital local assets.

REVITALISE OUR TOWN CENTRES – We will deliver free parking after 3pm to help businesses, keep market charges low and continue to champion investment in our towns.

A RELIEF ROAD TO EASE CONGESTION AND TACKLE POLLUTION – Labour will continue to push for a Northern Relief Road to ease congestion on our roads and improve air quality in the town centre.

INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION – We will invest in an apprenticeship scheme to help our young people learn the skills they need to prosper in today’s competitive job market.

A GREENER NUNEATON & BEDWORTH – Labour will demand an end to waste dumping in our rivers and streams.

NUNEATON AND BEDWORTH GROUP LEADER, CLLR CHRIS WATKINS, PROUDLY ENDORSES LABOUR’S ELECTION PLEDGES:

“I am proud to say that, following consultation of local residents, stakeholders and Labour members, we have committed ourselves to five key election pledges for the May 2022 Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council elections. These pledges reflect our desire to drive our Borough forward – Labour is on the side of local residents, and after twelve tough years of Conservative government, these elections present a chance to send a clear message to this Tory administration that things cannot go on like this.

Locally Labour has undergone a process of renewal, we continue to listen and learn from local residents. These pledges reflect the priorities of local people in Nuneaton and Bedworth.”
